National Day of Repentance October 2022
Dear Brothers and Sisters,
God has said,
If my people who are called by my name humble themselves, and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven and will forgive their sin and heal their land.” (2 Chronicles 7:14)
We can then ask, is the land healed? If you think the answer is yes, because Covid has gone, then let me tell you about what else is happening in our nation:
You may have heard of the Online Safety (previously Online Harms) Bill. This is a Bill that will censor the internet. Why does this matter? Legacy media (TV and newspapers) are working for the government. They are not independent and will only report what the government wants them to report. There are many excellent news channels on the internet. UK Column and Unity News Network are probably the best in Britain, and are both run by Christians, but there are countless worldwide. These news channels have been banned from YouTube for reporting things the government doesn’t like. I hope this concerns you. It should.
What else is happening? Abortion is now available for any reason, up to birth (de facto decriminalised), conversion therapy is being banned, our children are being groomed in school, central bank digital currencies are being planned (these are a means of control because we can be stopped from buying the “wrong” things in the “wrong” places), vaccine passports are still part of the plan (meaning the end of bodily autonomy) and the opaque, unelected, unaccountable World Health Organisation has made a treaty with almost every country on earth, giving it powers to introduce all sorts of restrictions whenever a “pandemic” is announced. (It should be noted that if the data is interrogated honestly, there is no evidence of SARS COV2 pandemic.) All of our freedoms and rights are being removed before our eyes, under the pretext of keeping us safe. Benjamin Franklin summed it up nicely: “Those who would give up essential Liberty, to purchase a little temporary Safety, deserve neither Liberty nor Safety.”
On top of that, we see dreadful confusion within the government. There’s little or no stability within the cabinet, and we don’t know what, or who, we are going to wake up to. Surely people in other countries are laughing at us!
The Land is Not Healed.
Those now running our country are technocrats. Technocracy is what we experienced during lockdown. Chosen experts (Neil Ferguson, Chris Whitty and Patrick Vallance, for example) made decisions and the politicians just follow along. Parliament is by-passed, the expert just tells us the new law. Technocracy is authoritarian and somewhat arbitrary. The only limits are what is possible, not what is right. Christian researcher, Patrick Wood, has been warning about this for decades. Did you enjoy the lockdowns? That is what the technocrats are planning for the future. Now that a precedence has been set, it’ll be much easier in future and getting us to this point has been planned by them for decades.
God has told us this is our fault. We, God’s people, have failed.
What has the Church done in response? It has hunkered down to watch and wait, expecting a ‘rapture’ (i.e., escape) at any moment, leaving society wide open to be swallowed up by godless, evil men, with horrifying, sickening and deadly plans. (Again, if you interrogate the Covid 19 data, including vaccine data, honestly, you will see this.) If you’re expecting a rapture to save you out of this, or if you see this downward trajectory as evidence that the return of Jesus is just around the corner, let me ask you this: are you willing to bet your children’s or grandchildren’s futures on that? Are you so sure that Jesus will be back soon, that you would be willing to sacrifice the future of your children to the authoritarian technocrats, without any freedom and minimal, if any, opportunity to join a Church, worship God or share the Gospel? We should not be convinced the Second Coming is imminent; rather, according to Jesus’ Great Commission, there is an ongoing need to redeem society, that the UK might once again be a Christian country.
Is the land healed? No, it is not. Therefore, it is our responsibility to humble ourselves, pray, seek God’s face and turn from our wicked ways. Our wicked ways are specifically (i) turning from our responsibility to be salt and light and (ii) allowing our nation to become a soviet-styled, technocratic, godless state. If we do repent, we know what will happen. Our God does not lie – there is no shadow of turning in Him. He will hear from heaven, forgive our sin and heal our land.
For this reason, we at Hope, Truth and Light have planned a National Day of Repentance for October 2022.
